Sallisaw NOW
The Sallisaw NOW Coalition announced via a facebook post this morning that it will postpone the “Touchless NARCAN Training” that was scheduled for today (Monday August 31st) until Thursday, September 3rd. The event will still take place at the Sallisaw NOW Coalition parking lot located at 101 N. Wheeler Ave. in Sallisaw, OK.
Sequoyah County has the 11th highest opioid overdose death rate in the state of Oklahoma. In addition to training such as this, the Sallisaw NOW Coalition works with area schools and organizations providing education as well as other resources such as lockboxes and places to dispose of prescription medicine.
